Meet the Team - Thomas Riviere
Thomas Riviere has been part of the team since Tidewater Express acquired AutoCraft Collision Center VA and is our lead Auto Body Technician/Painter. You could say that Thomas, along with Dave and Trish, “came with the building” when TEI purchased ACC in 2011. Thomas started working at AutoCraft in 2009, after spending a decade at another local collision repair shop. In fact, he has been working on autos since he was 15 years old.
Thomas grew up in the Dominican Republic and emigrated to the United States in 1990. He started off staying in the Bronx in New York, but after a visit to sunny and warm Virginia Beach to visit a friend – Thomas knew that the Hampton Roads area was the correct spot for him to land. Thomas brings decades and decades of auto body collision repair and auto body painting to the crew. He is the go-to mentor for the rest of the shop crew on all auto body fiberglass repair, auto body fiberglass and plastic reconstruction, auto body sandblasting and all auto body collision repair in general.

A FEW FUN FACTS ABOUT THOMAS RIVIERE:
It has to be the family atmosphere that we have here at AutoCraft. I’ve been working with Dave and Trish since I started here. When Tidewater Express bought us, our family grew. In fact, when I was laid up in the hospital for a week and then off work for a couple months Linda, one of the Tidewater sales staff, brought me pillows and gifts and snacks. So that’s all nice to have in a work family. Plus we have a nice chill atmosphere.
I don’t mind working on anything, but my favorite vehicle to work on are big trucks…semi trucks. Freightliners to be specific, I like to get into the spray booth and paint.
Reggae Zoot Spanish music – my hometown Caribbean music is what I listen to.
Pepperoni if I’m going to have pizza, but I’d much rather have chicken!
