This blog post team member spotlight features our south side Parts Coordinator, Brittany Dougherty.
Meet the Team - Brittany Dougherty
Brittany Dougherty has been part of the Tidewater Express team for just over one year, and is our Parts Coordinator based out of the Chesapeake truck repair shop. Brittany, pictured below 2nd from left with the Tidewater Express dispatch crew – Amy, Sylvia and Christina, is a local and that’s a bit of why she is an invaluable member of the team. As a parts coordinator, Brittany is responsible for maintaining our current parts inventory but also procuring those parts and knowing where to go in the area to best serve our customers and our team. Brittany keeps parts on-hand for the shop diesel mechanics working on truck repairs and RV repairs, but also supplies repair service parts for the Tidewater Express road service technicians. Brittany has excellent customer service skills, and keeps the Chesapeake parts room organized and works with our service writer to insure the correct truck parts or RV parts are on-hand for current truck repairs, heavy duty equipment repairs or RV repairs. A FEW FUN FACTS ABOUT BRITTANY DOUGHERTY:
Definitely the people. I know it’s a recurring theme around here with these interviews, but we really are like a big family here at Tidewater. It’s nice.
Music. We start work early, so my commute into the office is full of music and I’m ready to go when I get here.
I have to go with an entire genre here, and that’s definitely COUNTRY.
Pepperoni…and bacon. **Sylvia, who works right next to Brittany, claimed shenanigans on getting to choose two…but we deemed that pepperoni and bacon goes together like peanut butter and jelly – so we allowed it!
